I received my Masters of Library Science from the School of Information Science and Policy at the State University of New York at Albany in May 2003.
I began work on my PhD in Information and Library Science at the School of Information and Library Science at UNC-Chapel Hill in August of 2003. My academic advisor is Dr. Deborah Barreau. Dr. Stephanie Haas is my co-advisor.

I received a BA in Commercial Art (ie. Graphic Design) from Brenau University in 1996. I worked in a variety of design and production graphics jobs, and then did freelance t-shirt and web design before deciding that I wanted to go to graduate school to study information.
