Infomusings blog

Mail Art.

Why Infomuse?

muse n 1: protector of an art or science 2: the source of an artist's inspiration v : think about at length and in depth.
--Adapted from WordNet 1.6 is so named because:
  • n1 - The work of organizing and disseminating knowlege and information is both a science and an art.
  • n2 - In both my intellectual and creative pursuits, it has been my experience that the discovery of new information and knowledge is a sure path to inspiration.
  • v - The fields of library and information science provide much fodder for thinking at length and in depth, and "libmuse" didn't exactly trip off of the tongue.
